Mo Brown is a professional actor, dancer, radio personality and voice over artist based in New York City. She’s known as much for her indomitable personality, explosive energy, sparkling intelligence and relentless work ethic (all credited to her Jamaican ancestry) as she is for her stunning beauty. Brown’s can be found on radio broadcasts, on-stage, in commercials in film and in music videos. Raised in Brooklyn, New York, she graduated with honors from Long Island University with a bachelor’s degree in Theater Arts and Speech Communications in 2005.
Since then, Brown has performed with Melvin Van Peebles (seen right) in Sweet Sweetback Bad Ass Song’ in 2009; In the 2007 national tour of Romeo and Juliet and Ain’t Supposed to Die a Natural Death with The Classical Theatre Of Harlem. She has earned rave notices (including from the New York Times, Metro, Black Star News, etc.) for her performance in the role of “Lily” under the direction of Alfred Preisser, in the CTH’s 2006 production of Ain’t Supposed to Die a Natural Death. Brown has performed in Medea and Shakespeare’s Macbeth with the Classical Theatre of Harlem. Mo Brown has most recently Directed, Co-produced and Co-wrote the short film Sealed and was cast as the role of Star Foxx in the new film Love In Zodiac. She is also featured in ‘Behold The Swelling Scene’, Kel Spencer’s music Video Uggz to Huggz, Alicia Keys and Alejandro Sanz’ ‘Looking For Paradise’ (seen below) and others to name. Currently Brown is in production for the movie ‘Elliot Loves’.

Mo Brown has earned a loyal and rapidly growing fan base as the co-host of Live From Da Yard, a two-hour nationally syndicated show for college radio stations created by WBLS Creative Director Chris Mercado. Currently you can find Mo Brown blazing the airwaves on 'The Diva Brown Show' on iTunes Radio as well as on her Podcast http://www.mobrownsuga.podomatic.com/ and MoBrownSuga.Net. Mo Brown hosts live events such as Santos Party house concert series and performances, Fashion Shows, University talent competitions and live events.
Mo Brown was trained at the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater as a student at New York’s Professional Performing Arts High School, Brown was dancing, singing and acting in numerous stage productions all over New York City, including with George Faison’s Respect Project, for HAI (Hospital Audiences Inc.) She was also a dance instructor and choreographer for the Jackie Robinson Center - and served as an intern and street team member with the legendary New York hip-hop radio station HOT 97 (WQHT 97.1 FM).
Mo Brown is also featured in Marie Claire’s June 2008 issue as a commercial print model. Brown also has Entertainment News Segment called Mo News Mo Buzz with Mo Brown Suga with movielife.tv and on youtube.com/MoBrownSuga.
