'phat' is in fact not a beauty disadvantage, but a beauty mark They represent plus women in a distinctive positive manner. Here at BGM (Big Girls Movement), diversity plays a very important role and they want women to know that you shouldn't try to replicate anyone else but yourself - every women is beautiful in their own way regardless of what people may think. You should accept yourself flaws and all!
BGM doesn't try to fit in to the "loop" of things going on inside the plus size community - they choose to instead set new trends. They provide access to things that more women can relate to, verses things that people see on TV. The fact is, being plus size is the one thing in this day and age that's not going anywhere.
They want to show women all over the world that you too have a voice in this world and if you feel your voice isn't being heard - they will speak for you!
The Big Girl's Movement's goal is to be the face ,body, spirit, sexiness and the charisma of women all over the world who aren't strong enough to hold those things together for themselves and are essentially giving the average plus sized girl that is less than confident, their lives back TODAY!
For every plus size woman who have trouble embracing her curves and loving herself, for every plus size women who was ashamed to step foot outside her house, for every plus size women across the world who has ever had any type of self esteem issue - today is a new day!
